The video shows the minimally invasive removal of an atheroma (benign cyst) under local anaesthetic, performed by Dr. Dr. Bernhard Moser. First, the affected area of skin is thoroughly disinfected and locally anaesthetized to allow the patient pain-free treatment. A precise incision is then made to completely remove the atheroma, including its capsule, which prevents it from growing again. The skin material is well sealed and sent for histological examination. The after photo is 2 weeks after the procedure directly after the suture removal. Here you can still see the wounds from the suture, which will heal completely and disappear over the next few days
