TCA peeling and peeling with fruit acid in Vienna

Chemical peels and fruit acid peels

Exfoliation has a very regenerative effect on the skin. It removes the upper parts of the skin layer, stimulates collagen formation in deeper skin layers and inhibits acne bacteria (Propionibacterium Acnes). Due to these properties, it can reduce wrinkles, even out pigmentation irregularities, refine pores, heal inflammation and improve blemishes.

At JUVENIS in Vienna, peelings are carried out by our experienced dermatologist, who puts your well-being and health first. The range includes chemical peels and fruit acid peels.

Peelings at JUVENIS in Vienna

The face and décolleté are usually treated, but in some cases the back and back of the hands are also treated. A pigment-stabilizing cream therapy should be started at least 4 weeks before the first peeling treatment. A total of around 3-10 treatments are advisable, with each treatment bringing about a visible improvement.

The skin begins to peel after approx. 2 days. This takes about 3-5 days. It is particularly important that you strictly avoid the sun and use sun protection products after the peelings. Such peelings are NOT carried out during the warm season.

TCA peeling in Vienna at JUVENIS

Trichloroacetic acid peeling (TCA peeling) is a chemical peeling method that is widely used as a cosmetic or dermatological procedure. The intensive effect of the peeling leads to the removal of dead skin cells and parts of the top layer of skin (epidermis).

Areas of application:

  • Skin texture refinement

  • Impurities

  • severe acne scars

  • Pigment spots/sun damage

  • Wrinkles

  • mature skin

Fruit acid peels in Vienna at JUVENIS

Fruit acid peeling is now a tried and tested procedure for a range of skin changes. It leads to a temporary loosening of the uppermost layers of the skin ("peeling effect"). This thins the horny layer. Active ingredients can penetrate the skin much better. The peeling effect also stimulates the epidermis to renew itself.

Areas of application:

  • Skin texture refinement

  • Pigment spots/sun damage

  • Impurities

  • light acne scars

  • Wrinkles

  • mature skin

  • Inflammations

Treatment regions

  • Face

  • Neckline

  • Back

Treatment procedure of the TCA peeling

  • The skin is thoroughly cleansed and degreased.

  • The peeling solution is applied evenly.

  • After a few minutes of exposure, a soothing cream and a high level of sun protection are applied.

The treatment may cause an unpleasant burning sensation, which subsides after a while. Over the next few days, the skin may be reddened and peel off. A high level of sun protection is essential for several weeks after the treatment.

FAQs

A chemical peel is a dermatological treatment in which special acids are applied to the skin to specifically renew the uppermost layers of skin. This stimulates skin regeneration and can make the complexion appear smoother, fresher, and more even.

JUVENIS uses the following peels, among others:

  • Fruit acid peel (AHA peel) – superficial peel to improve skin texture and glow

  • TCA peel (trichloroacetic acid) – more intensive peel for treating pigmentation spots, scars, or wrinkles

The appropriate method is selected individually according to skin type and condition.

Chemical peels are suitable for treating:

  • Acne and blemished skin

  • Acne scars

  • Pigment spots and sun damage

  • fine lines and wrinkles

  • uneven skin texture

  • enlarged pores

After treatment, the skin often appears clearer, smoother, and fresher.

After cleansing the skin, the peel is applied precisely to the areas of skin to be treated. The application time depends on the peel selected and the skin type. The skin is then neutralized and soothed. The treatment usually takes 20 to 30 minutes.

During treatment, you may experience a slight burning or tingling sensation, but this is usually well tolerated. More intensive peels may cause a stronger feeling of warmth.

After a superficial peel, the skin may be slightly reddened. With stronger peels, visible flaking of the skin may occur in the following days as the skin renews itself.

Many patients notice an improvement in their skin's appearance after just a few days. The skin looks fresher and smoother. With more intensive peels, the final result is usually visible after a few weeks.

For optimal results, several sessions spaced a few weeks apart are often recommended. The exact number depends on the condition of the skin and the desired improvement.

After a chemical peel, consistent sun protection (SPF 50) is particularly important. Intensive sun exposure, saunas, and solariums should be avoided in the days following the treatment.

Temporary redness, tightness, or flaking may occur. These reactions are part of the skin renewal process and usually subside within a few days.

The cost depends on the type of peel and the area of skin being treated.

  • Superficial peeling of one area from approx. €110

  • Medium-depth peeling of one area from approx. €270

  • Deep peeling of one area from approx. €480

During the consultation, you will receive an individual treatment and cost plan.

Since this is usually a cosmetic treatment, the costs are generally not covered by health insurance companies.

At JUVENIS, peeling treatments are performed exclusively by experienced physicians and medical professionals. We select the right peeling for your skin based on an individual skin analysis and optimize the intensity and active ingredients. The goal is to achieve visibly improved skin structure with the highest level of safety and medical quality.
