Reasons for a breast reduction or lift
Breasts that are too large or too saggy can be a major burden. Some women suffer from this - but there are not only aesthetic reasons for breast reduction or a breast lift. If the breasts are too large, their weight can cause significant discomfort in the shoulder and back area. Over the years, this weight can lead to a hunched back and spinal problems. In women with overly large breasts, the spine is permanently in an incorrect position. A breast reduction therefore also prevents later spinal damage. Breast malformations also cause breast asymmetries, which can not only be aesthetically unpleasant but can also lead to poor posture.

The initial consultation
At JUVENIS, we not only want to provide you with the best medical care, but also ensure that you feel well advised and informed. For this reason, a detailed consultation takes place before the actual breast reduction or breast lift treatment.
Our aesthetic surgeons will take your individual wishes and aesthetic problems into account. They will discuss your expectations and ideas with you and show you both the possibilities and limitations of breast reduction or breast lift. A personalized treatment plan will be drawn up for you. The costs incurred by you will also be discussed.
All your questions will be answered in detail. Only when you have made a decision in peace will we arrange a treatment appointment with you.
Before the operation
As with any plastic surgery procedure that takes place under anesthesia, alcohol and nicotine consumption should be kept to a minimum two weeks before the treatment date or these stimulants should be avoided altogether. The use of medication should always be discussed with the doctor. Blood-thinning medication should be discontinued 10 days before the operation. However, this should be clarified in advance with the attending internist.
It is necessary to have a mammography examination before the operation.

Breast reduction: the operation
The operation is performed under general anesthesia. An internal surgical release is required as standard. A wound dressing and a chest compression bandage are applied after the operation.
If the surgical and postoperative course is free of complications, a day hospital stay is sufficient. A clinical stay is possible if required.
Postoperative course
The wound dressing can usually be completely removed after 8 to 10 days so that you can shower without a shower plaster from this point onwards. Absorbable (self-dissolving) sutures are used, so no stitches need to be removed.
The breast compression bandage can be replaced by a sports bra on the 3rd day after the operation. This should be worn day and night for a period of 6 weeks. It is also important not to sleep on your stomach for 6 weeks.
Breast reduction costs
*The exact costs of a breast reduction or breast lift depend on the initial situation and the extent of the operation. In order to work out the right treatment concept for you, we would like to invite you to a detailed consultation with our plastic surgeons. An individual cost estimate will then be drawn up during this consultation.
