What is IPL hair removal?
In IPL hair removal, short light pulses from a flash lamp are emitted that penetrate the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment melanin contained in the hair and converted into heat. The heat generated is conducted from the hair into the hair follicle, destroying it and preventing the regrowth of hair.

Hair removal is quick, gentle and skin-friendly. The treatment takes between 10 and 60 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated and is hardly painful. For permanent hair removal, several treatments are necessary because only hair follicles in the growth phase are affected. These are usually around 20% to 30%. After each treatment the hairs become fewer. In total, usually 4 to 6 sessions are required.

Permanent hair removal is a method in which hair follicles are targeted with laser or light technology (e.g. IPL) are treated. This reduces hair growth in the long term and leaves the skin noticeably smoother.
The laser light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and converted into heat. This heat selectively destroys the hair follicle, thereby sustainably inhibiting hair growth.
