Gentle, gentle and permanent hair removal in Vienna
Smooth skin is a trend for both men and women. However, hair removal methods such as shaving, waxing or epilating are time-consuming and have to be repeated constantly. This doesn't have to be the case, because thanks to modern IPL technology, lengthy and sometimes painful hair removal procedures are no longer necessary.
At JUVENIS, permanent hair removal is carried out with the Top Laser Nordlys from Candela. Treatment with modern IPL technology (Intense Pulsed Light) is an effective and efficient way to successfully remove unwanted hair from various parts of the body in just a few minutes.

What is IPL hair removal?
During IPL hair removal, short pulses of light are emitted from a flash lamp, which then penetrate the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment melanin contained in the hair and converted into heat. The resulting heat is transferred from the hair to the hair follicle, destroying it and preventing new hair from forming.

Treatment procedure
Hair removal is quick, gentle and kind to the skin. Depending on the size of the area to be treated, the treatment takes between 10 and 60 minutes and is hardly painful. Several treatments are necessary for permanent hair removal, as only hair follicles that are in the growth phase are treated. This is usually around 20% to 30%. The hair becomes less after each treatment. A total of 4 to 6 sessions are usually necessary.

FAQs
Permanent hair removal is a method in which hair follicles are specifically targeted using laser or light technology (e.g., IPL). This reduces hair growth over the long term and leaves the skin noticeably smoother.
The laser light is absorbed by the melanin in the hair and converted into heat. This heat specifically destroys the hair follicle, thereby permanently inhibiting hair growth.
Permanent hair removal can be performed on almost any part of the body, including:
Face (upper lip, chin)
Armpits
Legs
Bikini line
Back
Chest
The treatment is tailored to each individual.
The treatment is particularly suitable for people with darker hair and fair skin, but depending on the technology used, it can also be successfully applied to other skin types.
The skin is prepared before the treatment. Targeted light pulses are then applied to the skin. Depending on the area , the treatment takes approximately 10 to 60 minutes.
Most patients find the treatment well tolerated. They may feel a slight warmth or a brief “snapping” sensation on the skin.
Since hair goes through different growth phases, 6 to 8 sessions are usually necessary to achieve optimal results.
Treated hair begins to fall out after the very first session. The skin gradually becomes smoother, while hair growth continues to decrease with each session.
Hair removal is effective in the long term. In some cases, touch-up treatments may be necessary to maintain the results.
After the treatment, the skin may be slightly red. This redness usually subsides within a short time. When performed properly, the treatment is very safe.
Before and after treatment, you should:
Avoid direct sunlight
Do not use self-tanning products
take good care of your skin
Shave instead of waxing between sessions
The cost depends on the area of the body being treated and the number of sessions.
