Kinesiotaping at JUVENIS in Vienna
The skin is the body's largest sensory organ. An expansion of the skin, for example due to swelling or scars, leads to a weakening of the associated muscle and to a disruption of the receptors. Kinesiotaping can help here. Kinesiotape is an elastic adhesive tape that is applied directly to the skin. It has a mechanical and sensory effect via the skin and activates the nerve fibers. At JUVENIS in Vienna, kinesiotaping is carried out by experienced sports scientist Dr. Tanja Braunsteiner and OA Dr. Peter Guglia, who put your well-being and health first.
Treatments & therapies
How does kinesiotape work?
Kinesiotape influences muscle function by increasing muscle strength. Microcirculation is improved and lymphatic drainage is activated. This reduces pain and supports joint function at the same time. The effectiveness of the tape depends on the respective application technique.
There are four basic techniques:
- Muscle technique: improvement of convolution, fluid transport, relief of the receptors
- Ligament technique: stabilization, space effect (spatialization)
- Fascia and correction technique: postoperative, for dysfunctions in the fascia tissue
- Lymphatic technique: increases blood and lymph circulation, reduces swelling and treats hematomas
