How does the anti-pigment concept work at JUVENIS?

The basis is a precise skin analysis. Based on this, an individualized concept is developed together. The treatment plan consists of the following selected components.

Pigment-stabilizing cream therapy and sun protection - Sun protection in the morning and pigment-stabilizing creams in the evening fade pigment spots. We will put together a customized treatment plan for your situation using an individual combination of products. This includes products to protect against UV rays and to reduce pigment production.

Intense Pulse Light Therapy (IPL) - Pigment spots can be elegantly and painlessly reduced by treatment with a flash lamp. High-energy pulsed light dissolves the pigment and causes pigment spots to fade.

At JUVENIS, treatment is carried out with the Top Laser Nordlys from Candela. The modern IPL technology (Intense Pulsed Light) is an effective and efficient option and can be easily combined with the other components of the anti-pigment concept at JUVENIS.

In principle, peelings are an effective and efficient option and can be easily combined with the other components of the anti-pigment concept at JUVENIS.

FAQs

Age spots (lentigines) are caused by long-term exposure to UV radiation, hormonal influences or genetic predisposition. This leads to an overproduction of melanin, which appears as brownish spots on the skin - particularly on the face, hands and décolleté.

JUVENIS uses state-of-the-art methods such as laser therapy, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and medical peels. Depending on the severity and skin type, our doctors select the ideal treatment method to reduce pigmentation gently and effectively.

The treatments are well tolerated. During IPL treatment, you may experience a slight feeling of warmth, a brief prickling sensation or slight tightness. If necessary, an anesthetic cream can be used.

For visible and lasting results, 1 to 3 sessions are usually necessary, depending on the depth and number of pigment spots. Your individual treatment plan will be determined during the consultation.

Initial improvements can often be seen after the first treatment. The final result develops over several weeks once the skin has broken down the excess pigment.

Yes, our doctors work with medically approved equipment and many years of experience in the field of laser and pigment treatments. The treatment is considered to be very safe and gentle.

Occasionally, slight reddening or a temporary darkening of the treated area may occur, which subsides after a few days. Rarely, small crusts appear which fall off by themselves.

Many age spots can be significantly lightened or completely removed. In the case of deeper pigmentation, a new treatment or a combination of several methods may be useful.

Consistent UV protection is crucial. Use a sunscreen with SPF 50+ every day, avoid intense sun and protect your skin with a hat and sunglasses, especially in summer.

The cost depends on the size and number of spots and the method used. Pigment therapy with IPL costs € 290 for the face, a diamond peel for the face costs from € 150 and superficial peelings for one region cost € 110 to € 180. Medium-depth peelings cost from € 270 and deep peelings from € 480.

An individual cost estimate will be provided during the consultation.

Pigment and age spot treatments are considered aesthetic procedures, which is why health insurance companies do not usually cover the costs. You will receive a fee note for private billing
