"Fat-away injection" for facial contouring

Annoying small fat pads in the face and neck area can be "melted" easily and gently. The substance used for this is phosphatidylcholine (PDC), a natural substance extracted from soybeans. When injected directly into the fatty tissue, it causes the storage fat to dissolve, which is then broken down in the liver in the form of "fat droplets" via the bloodstream.

This can restore facial contours that appear blurred or deeper due to sagging cheeks or fat deposits next to the nasolabial fold (marionette lines).

The new phosphatidylcholine solution (PDC), which has recently become available, is injected into the tissue with a fine needle and is virtually painless. The breakdown of fat activates metabolic processes in the body, which lead to tightening of the tissue. The procedure has been used for many years in the treatment of fat embolisms. It is also used successfully in aesthetic medicine.

The use of a new carrier solution largely reduces the side effects that previously occurred (e.g. severe redness, swelling or an unpleasant burning sensation).

The new carrier formula means that hardly any pain, swelling or redness is to be expected. In rare cases, slight sensory disturbances at the injection points have been described, but these subside completely after a while.

Usually 2 to 5 treatments are necessary at intervals of at least 3 to 4 weeks.

After the treatment, you should avoid sport, sauna, solarium and heavy physical exertion for a few days.
