"Fat-away injection" for facial contouring

The fat-dissolving injection, also known as injection lipolysis, is a minimally invasive method for the targeted reduction of small fat deposits. An active ingredient is injected directly into the fatty tissue, which dissolves the fat cells. These are subsequently broken down by the body.

The injected active ingredient specifically destroys fat cells in the treated area. The body breaks them down via the metabolism, which causes the facial contours to become visibly more defined and slimmer.

The fat-dissolving injection is often used for:

• sagging contours in the chin and jaw area

• small fat deposits in the cheek area

It is particularly suitable for localized fat deposits, not for general weight reduction.

After a medical consultation, the active ingredient is injected precisely into the fatty tissue using fine needles. The treatment usually lasts 15 to 30 minutes and is performed on an outpatient basis.

The injections are well tolerated. A slight burning sensation or feeling of pressure may occur. If necessary, a local anesthesia can be performed.
