The initial consultation
At JUVENIS, we not only want to provide you with the best medical care, but also ensure that you feel well advised and informed. For this reason, a detailed consultation takes place before the actual breast augmentation treatment.
Our aesthetic surgeons will take your individual wishes and aesthetic problems into account. They will discuss your expectations and ideas with you and show you both the possibilities and limitations of breast augmentation. A personalized treatment plan will be drawn up for you. The costs incurred by you will also be discussed.
All your questions will be answered in detail. Only when you have made a decision in peace will we arrange a treatment appointment with you.
Before the operation
As the operation is performed under general anesthesia, an internal surgical release is required as standard. Depending on age, a breast examination (mammography or ultrasound) should also be carried out.
The operation does not require any special preparation, but you should not take any anticoagulant medication, such as aspirin, for 10 days before the operation. We will be happy to help you find a suitable sports bra for the weeks following the operation

Breast augmentation
The procedure is performed under general anesthesia in a cooperating hospital.
Access is usually gained through a 4-5 cm incision in the lower breast crease. A vacuum tube (drainage) is often inserted into the cavity intended for the implant to drain the wound secretion (serum), which is removed the next day. The implant can be placed under the large pectoral muscle or under the glandular tissue. The wound is then closed in layers of sutures. Finally, a breast compression bandage is applied, which is replaced by a sports bra the next day.
If the surgical and postoperative course is free of complications, a day hospital stay is sufficient. A clinical stay is possible if required.
After the operation
On the first day after the operation, the compression bandage can be replaced by a sports bra, which you should wear for a further 5 to 6 weeks.
In the first 4 to 6 weeks after the operation, it is important to sleep on your back or side and avoid lying on your stomach. Pay particular attention to physical rest (no sport, no sauna, etc.).

Complications can occur even after a surgical procedure performed with the utmost care and caution.
In addition to the possible complications after a general anesthetic, the most common complications after breast surgery include the possibility of post-operative bleeding and wound healing disorders. All possible complications are explained in detail during the consultation.
