The initial consultation before liposuction
At JUVENIS, we not only want to provide you with the best medical care, but also ensure that you feel well advised and informed. They will discuss the areas to be treated with you and show you both the possibilities and limitations of liposuction. Liposuction treatment procedure
During liposuction at the JUVENIS medical center in Vienna, the body region is first locally anaesthetized with a special anaesthetic fluid, known as tumescent fluid. The fat cells are then suctioned out using a thin cannula. The treatment is very gentle and takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of the area.
After liposuction
Thanks to the particularly gentle surgical technique used by our plastic surgeons, the risks associated with liposuction are kept as low as possible. An individually fitted compression girdle or panty girdle should be worn for a period of 6 weeks. Only part of the tumescent fluid is suctioned out. It therefore leaks into the dressing within the next 12-48 hours. For this reason, it may be necessary to change the dressing the day after the liposuction. You should therefore not be alone for the first two days after liposuction to change the dressing.
From the second day onwards, you will feel aching muscles, but these will disappear after 10 days at the latest.
As with all operations, we attach great importance to medical safety. If necessary, you will be given anti-thrombosis injections and an antibiotic to prevent infection. Anticoagulant medication such as aspirin must be discontinued before the operation after consultation with the prescribing doctor.

When are results visible after liposuction?
The new body shape is clearly visible after just 48 hours. However, residual effusions of blood or remaining fluid deposits can delay a final assessment of the results of the operation. Depending on the region treated, this can take up to around 6 weeks.
A final result can usually be expected no later than 3 months after liposuction at the JUVENIS Medical Center in Vienna. An assessment of the aesthetic result of liposuction can therefore best be carried out during this period.
