Treat telangiectasias with laser
Telangiectasias, the easily visible small veins that occur especially in the nose and cheek area, can have many different causes. They can appear after frostbite or excessive sun exposure or be hereditary (parents, grandparents, etc.). They are treated, like hemangiomas, with the Nd:YAG laser.

Treatment of hemangiomas with the Nd:YAG laser is almost painless and very effective. The hemangioma is heated and then broken down by the body after treatment. There is no downtime. You can shower and also exercise afterwards. Often a single treatment is sufficient to remove the bothersome red spots.

The Nd:YAG laser method has also proven effective in treating enlarged small veins (telangiectasias). However, multiple treatments are usually required for enlarged veins – depending on the severity of the vessels.

FAQs
Blood spots are benign vascular growths in the skin. They consist of dilated blood vessels and usually appear as red or bluish dots or nodules. They are harmless but can be cosmetically bothersome.
Hemangiomas can be congenital or develop over the course of life. Causes are usually genetic predisposition, hormonal influences, UV radiation or the natural aging processes of the skin.
In our practice we gently remove blood spots using the latest laser technology. The laser seals the affected blood vessels precisely without damaging the surrounding skin. The treatment is generally quick and effective.
The treatment is usually only slightly uncomfortable and is well tolerated by most patients. On request, a numbing cream can be applied to make the skin less sensitive.
In many cases a single session is sufficient. For larger or numerous blood spots, multiple treatments several weeks apart may be required.
As a rule, the skin heals without scarring after the laser treatment. Temporarily there may be slight redness or crusting, which disappears after a few days.
Yes, most superficial hemangiomas and dilated capillaries (telangiectasias) can be effectively treated with laser light. Very deep or large hemangiomas are assessed individually.
In most cases this is a cosmetic procedure. Medical treatment is rarely necessary — for example, if a hemangioma becomes inflamed or grows significantly.
A session lasts approximately, depending on the size and number of the hemangiomas, 10 to 30 minutes.
Direct sunlight should be avoided for several weeks. Use a sunscreen with a high sun protection factor regularly to protect the skin optimally.
