Treatment for hemangiomas and telangiectasias at JUVENIS
Treat hemangiomas and dilated veins (telangiectasia)
The JUVENIS Medical Center offers various treatment options for hemangiomas and dilated veins (telangiectasias). These depend on the type and severity of the symptoms.
The hemangioma (hemangioma) consists of many narrow blood vessels and is between a few millimetres and a few centimetres in size. Hemangiomas are preferably found in the skin and on the lips. They are very harmless, small, red skin tumors.

Treatments & therapies
Treating hemangiomas (hemangiomas) with laser
There is a simple method for removing hemangiomas: neodymium Nd:YAG laser therapy. The vessel is specifically treated with a punctual laser (Nd:YAG).

Treating telangiectasias with laser
Telangiectasias, the highly visible veins that appear mainly in the nose and cheek area, can have a wide variety of causes. They occur after frostbite or too much sun or are familial (parents, grandparents, etc.). Like hemangiomas, they are treated with the Nd:YAG laser.

Treatment procedure
The treatment of hemangiomas with the Nd:YAG laser is almost painless and very effective. The hemangioma is heated and broken down by the body after the treatment. There is no downtime as a result. You can take a shower afterwards and even do sports. One treatment is often enough to remove the annoying red spots.

The Nd:YAG laser method has also proven itself in the treatment of dilated veins (telangiectasia). However, several treatments are usually required for dilated veins - depending on the thickness of the vessels.

FAQs
Hemangiomas are benign vascular neoplasms in the skin. They consist of dilated blood vessels and usually appear as red or bluish spots or nodules. They are harmless, but can be cosmetically disturbing.
Hemangiomas can be congenital or develop over the course of a lifetime. The causes are usually genetic predisposition, hormonal influences, UV radiation or natural ageing processes of the skin.
In our practice, we gently remove hemangiomas using the latest laser technology. The laser precisely seals the affected blood vessels without damaging the surrounding skin. The treatment is usually quick and effective.
The treatment is usually only slightly uncomfortable and is well tolerated by most patients. If desired, an anaesthetic cream can be applied to make the skin less sensitive.
In many cases, one session is sufficient. In the case of larger or numerous hemangiomas, several treatments at intervals of a few weeks may be necessary.
As a rule, the skin heals without scarring after laser treatment. Temporary slight redness or crusting may occur, which disappears after a few days.
Yes, most superficial hemangiomas and dilated veins (telangiectasias) can be effectively treated with laser light. Very deep or large hemangiomas are assessed individually.
In most cases, this is a cosmetic procedure. Only rarely is medical treatment necessary - for example, if a hemangioma becomes inflamed or grows strongly.
A session takes about 10 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and number of sponges.
Direct sunlight should be avoided for several weeks. Use sunscreen with a high sun protection factor regularly to protect the skin optimally.
As this is usually an aesthetic treatment, the costs are not usually covered by health insurance. You will receive a detailed fee note from JUVENIS.
