General medicine at JUVENIS Vienna
Operation approvals for JUVENIS
Every patient who has to undergo an operation requires a so-called operation clearance. Surgery clearances at JUVENIS in Vienna are requested by the surgeon during the preliminary consultation and are gladly organized for you at JUVENIS. This ensures that there are no health contraindications for the planned procedure.

OP release for JUVENIS
Our general practitioner, Dr. Daniela Themmer, is responsible for clearing patients for surgery. Appointments are always possible on Tuesday, between 9.00 and 13.00.
The blood sample required for this is always taken on Monday mornings at JUVENIS . We ask you to come on an empty stomach. This means that you should not eat anything from the end of the previous day's evening meal until your blood collection appointment. However, you should drink plenty of water and take your medication as usual.
If you have a blood group ID card, please show it to our staff at the front desk. A copy of your ID will then be enclosed with the surgery release. In this way you avoid unnecessary laboratory costs.

FAQs
Preoperative evaluation is a medical examination designed to assess whether you are medically fit for a planned procedure. The goal is to identify potential risks and ensure your safety during surgery.
Surgery clearance is required prior to:
scheduled surgical procedures
Surgeries performed under general or regional anesthesia
outpatient or inpatient procedures
It is usually requested by the attending physician or the hospital.
Depending on the procedure and your health condition, the following tests may be performed:
detailed medical history
physical examination
Blood tests
ECG (heart examination)
additional diagnostic tests, if necessary
We will begin with a detailed discussion of your medical history, medications, and symptoms. We will then perform the necessary examinations. The examination usually takes about 20 to 40 minutes.
Most tests are not painful. Only the blood draw may cause a brief prick.
In some cases, you should:
come on an empty stomach (for a blood draw)
Bring a list of your medications
Bring any relevant medical findings or doctor's reports
Approval is typically granted once all necessary examinations have been completed. Depending on the scope of the work, this may happen immediately or shortly thereafter.
If any risks are identified, we will discuss them with you. In some cases, further tests or adjustments to your treatment may be necessary before surgery can be performed.
The cost depends on the scope of the examination and the necessary tests. A surgical clearance for sedoanalgesia or local anesthesia starts at €150. A surgical clearance for general anesthesia starts at €180.
You can get the exact prices during a personal consultation.
Depending on medical necessity , your health insurance may cover some or all of the costs.
At JUVENIS, you benefit from experienced specialists and state-of-the-art diagnostic services. A thorough examination ensures that your procedure can be performed under optimal medical conditions.
