Mini facelift in Vienna
In a mini facelift, the sagging cheeks are lifted and the skin is tightened through a minimally invasive procedure.
Facelift / Facelifting in Vienna
Through facelifting, the skin and tissue in the cheek area are tightened, the nasolabial fold is smoothed and sagging tissue in the jawline area is lifted again. The incision is made in front of the ear and continues around the base of the earlobe to the back of the ear and arcing toward the hairline. In this operation the connective tissue (SMAS) beneath the skin is tightened, the excess skin is removed and tightened. Drains are placed to drain wound secretions that may form after the operation. These drains are usually removed on the first day after the operation. A head-and-face dressing is applied after the operation.
Neck lift in Vienna
The neck lift tightens lax tissue in the neck. Excess fatty tissue (the so-called double chin) can be corrected by liposuction. The neck lift can be well combined with the facelift.

Midfacelift
The sagging cheek skin in the midface area is lifted. The incision is made in the area of the lower eyelids.
Temple lift / Forehead lift
In the temple lift, the skin in the temple area is tightened from the temple hairline. The outer eyebrows are lifted in the process. In the forehead lift the sagging eyebrows are lifted and the forehead skin is tightened. The procedure is performed from the frontal hairline.

Before the facelift – the facial tightening
Since the operation is performed under general anesthesia in most cases, an internal surgical clearance is required as standard.
No anticoagulant medications, such as aspirin, should be taken for 10 days before the procedure.

The operation
To smooth a lax face, excess skin and tissue are removed and the contours of the face are tightened during the facelift. The operation takes approx. 2–6 hours. A head bandage is applied.
The classic facelift is a procedure performed by our plastic surgeons under general anesthesia in a cooperating hospital.
A mini lift can also be performed under local anesthesia or in twilight sedation.
With an uncomplicated intra- and postoperative course, a day-clinic stay is sufficient. If required, an inpatient stay is possible.
After the facelift – the facial tightening
After 1 to 2 days the head bandage is replaced by a smaller dressing. After the operation there may temporarily be swelling, bruising, numbness and a feeling of tension in the area of the surgical site.
