Polynucleotides (PN)

Also known as "salmon sperm" treatment: This refers to highly purified polynucleotides (often obtained from fish DNA) that support skin regeneration. JUVENIS only uses tested, medical quality from renowned European manufacturers (including Croma).

What are polynucleotides (PN)?

Polynucleotides are chains of nucleotides (DNA/RNA building blocks). In aesthetics, they are used as biostimulating gels. They can bind moisture, buffer free radicals and promote a regeneration-friendly skin environment. The result is improved skin quality: smoother texture, more elasticity, finer pores and a healthy glow.

The colloquial term "salmon sperm" refers to the source of some PN preparations (fish DNA). The substances used are highly purified, not hormonally active and have nothing to do with fertility products.

Polynucleotides are not fillers in the classic sense. They stimulate and improve the skin environment - ideal for crepe skin, fine lines and the eye area.

Treatment procedure

Procedure for polynucleotide treatment

  • Consultation & skin analysis: goals, initial findings, photo documentation

  • Preparation: disinfection, anesthetic cream if desired

  • Injection: fine depots intradermal/subdermal - depending on the area with needle or blunt cannula

  • Duration of treatment: usually 20 to 40 minutes depending on the region

  • Soothing & care: cooling, final care

  • Planning the cure: usually 2-3 sessions at intervals of 2-4 weeks

  • Downtime: tiny wheals/redness, occasional hematomas; typically disappears after 1-2 days. After treatment, you are usually able to socialize again immediately.

The result is a fresh glow and improved skin texture and quality.

After treatment with polynucleotides (PN):

  • Avoid make-up in the area for 24 hours

  • 48 h Avoid sauna/sweating/sports

  • Avoid sun/solarium for 3-5 days, use SPF 50 in everyday life

  • No active acids/retinoids in the area for 2-3 days

  • Cooling on demand

  • Do not massage unless instructed to do so by a doctor
