Polynucleotides (PN)
Also known as "salmon sperm" treatment: This refers to highly purified polynucleotides (often obtained from fish DNA) that support skin regeneration. JUVENIS only uses tested, medical quality from renowned European manufacturers (including Croma).
What are polynucleotides (PN)?
Polynucleotides are chains of nucleotides (DNA/RNA building blocks). In aesthetics, they are used as biostimulating gels. They can bind moisture, buffer free radicals and promote a regeneration-friendly skin environment. The result is improved skin quality: smoother texture, more elasticity, finer pores and a healthy glow.
The colloquial term "salmon sperm" refers to the source of some PN preparations (fish DNA). The substances used are highly purified, not hormonally active and have nothing to do with fertility products.
Polynucleotides are not fillers in the classic sense. They stimulate and improve the skin environment - ideal for crepe skin, fine lines and the eye area.

FAQs
Also known as "salmon sperm" treatment: This refers to highly purified polynucleotides (often obtained from fish DNA) that support skin regeneration. They support cell renewal, improve skin elasticity and promote the skin's natural moisture retention - without any volumizing effect. JUVENIS only uses tested, medical quality from renowned European manufacturers (including Croma).
The injected polynucleotides stimulate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. This strengthens the skin structure from the inside out and the skin appears firmer, fresher and smoother.
Polynucleotides also have an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect - ideal for sensitive skin or skin prone to redness.
This treatment is ideal for women and men who notice early signs of skin ageing or want to improve their skin structure in a targeted manner. It is suitable for the face, neck, décolleté, hands and even the sensitive eye area.
After a detailed consultation, the PN gel is injected into the skin using very fine needles. The treatment takes around 20-40 minutes per region and is virtually painless. An anesthetic cream can be used on request.
The first improvements can be seen after just one to two weeks. The skin becomes more even and firmer. The full effect unfolds after around four weeks when cell activity has been stimulated. For optimum results, we recommend a course of 2-3 sessions at four-week intervals.
The results usually remain visible for 6 to 9 months. Refresher treatments two to three times a year help to keep the skin youthful and vital in the long term.
After treatment, slight redness or minimal swelling may occur temporarily, which will subside after a short time. As polynucleotides are biocompatible and absorbable, the treatment is considered to be very well tolerated.
Yes, a PN treatment can be ideally combined with laser therapy, microneedling, Botox or hyaluronic acid to additionally support skin regeneration. Our doctors will advise you individually on the most suitable combination.
The costs depend on the region and product and are from € 390 per session at JUVENIS.
