The modern IPL technology (Intense Pulsed Light) is an effective and efficient way to successfully remove annoying veins on various parts of the body in just a few minutes. During couperose treatment with IPL, short pulses of light are emitted from a flash lamp, which then penetrate the skin. The light is directed into the blood vessels to be treated. Blood contains hemoglobin. This absorbs the light and converts it into heat. The resulting heat destroys the small veins and they gradually disappear safely.

Depending on the size of the affected area, the treatment of couperose (acne rosacea I°) with IPL usually takes between 15 and 45 minutes. Slight swelling or redness may occur during and after the treatment, which usually disappears within a few days. To adequately protect the treated and very sensitive skin, sun protection of 50+ is essential.
