For muscles and joints
Kinesio taping at JUVENIS in Vienna
The Skin is the body's largest sensory organ. An expansion of the skin, for example due to swelling or scars, leads to a weakening of the corresponding muscle and to disruption of the receptors. Kinesiotaping can help here. The kinesio tape is an elastic adhesive tape that is applied directly to the skin. It acts mechanically and sensorily through the skin and activates the nerve fibers. At JUVENIS in Vienna, Kinesiotaping is performed by OA Dr. Peter Guglia, for whom your well-being and your health come first.

Treatments & Therapies
How does the Kinesiotape work?
The Kinesiotape influences muscle function by increasing muscle strength. Microcirculation is improved and lymphatic drainage is activated. This reduces pain while supporting joint function at the same time. The tape's effectiveness depends on the specific application technique.
There are the following four basic techniques:
- Muscle technique: Improvement of convolution, fluid transport, relief of the receptors
- Ligament technique: Stabilization, space effect (surrounding area)
- Fascia and correction technique: post-operative, for dysfunctions in the fascial tissue
- Lymphatic technique: increase in blood and lymph circulation, for decongestion and hematoma treatment
