As part of the Top News from Medical Research at the Gesellschaft der Ärzte - Billrothhaus in Vienna, dermatologist Prof. Dr. Tamara Kopp from JUVENIS in Vienna reported on the effectiveness of the specific blockade of interleukin-23 in patients with psoriasis.

Psoriasis is an inflammatory, non-infectious skin disease in which the body's own tissue is attacked by the immune system. The messenger substance of the immune system, interleukin-23, is involved in this. By neutralizing this, dermatologist Prof. Dr. Tamara Kopp and her team were able to significantly reduce the symptoms of psoriasis.
