From now on, CE-certified antibody testing procedures (IgG) for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, also called the coronavirus, are being offered at JUVENIS in Vienna. A blood draw is required initially. The antibody test for the coronavirus then checks whether antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus have formed in the patient's blood.

It is currently assumed that patients have immunological protection against reinfection after a coronavirus infection. However, how long this immunity lasts is still unclear at present.

The Antibody test for the coronavirus is performed at JUVENIS by the physicians a.o. Univ Prof. Dr. Tamara Kopp, Dr. Tanja Pisec-Weihen and Dr. Daniela Themmer.
