Briefly explained: Botox® relaxes muscles to smooth wrinkles, while hyaluronic acid fillers add volume.
Botox® and hyaluronic acid fillers are two different but complementary methods of treating wrinkles.
Botox® acts on the muscles: it specifically inhibits the muscle contraction that causes mimic wrinkles such as forehead wrinkles, frown lines or crow's feet. As a result, these wrinkles are smoothed out and the face appears more relaxed. Botox® is therefore particularly suitable for dynamic wrinkles caused by facial expressions.
Hyaluronic acid fillers, on the other hand, act like a "cushion" in the skin: the natural substance hyaluronic acid binds water and restores volume. This allows static wrinkles (e.g. nasolabial folds) to be filled, lost volume in the face (e.g. sunken cheeks) to be restored and contours to be emphasized. Hyaluronic acid is therefore particularly suitable for static wrinkles and for filling volume.

Combination: A combination of both methods is often ideal. While Botox® ensures relaxed facial expressions, hyaluronic acid can fill the skin and thus create a particularly natural, fresh overall result.
