According to expert estimates, psoriasis occurs in around 2 to 3 percent of the world's population. It is an inflammatory skin disease in which the body's own tissue is attacked by the immune system. In a clinical study with dermatologist Prof. Dr. Tamara Kopp, it was shown that the unpleasant symptoms of psoriasis can be significantly reduced with the help of an antibody.
Symptoms of psoriasis stopped
As reported by heilpraxis.net, dermatologist Prof. Tamara Kopp from the JUVENIS beauty center in Vienna and her team investigated whether administering an antibody against psoriasis helps.
In one study, they injected a total of 77 patients (with moderate to severe symptoms) with different amounts of the antibody "tildrakizumab" or a placebo preparation. The skin of the patients treated with high doses was up to 100 percent free of the symptoms of psoriasis.
The researchers have now completed a Phase II study and are in a Phase III clinical trial, which is the final stage before possible approval.
