In addition to my work as a specialist in psychiatry & psychotherapeutic medicine, I offer client-centered psychotherapy:
What is client-centered psychotherapy?
"When I accept myself as I am, I change." (Carl R. Rogers)
What makes psychotherapy effective is the therapeutic relationship offered by the psychotherapist(s) to the client in the "socially inconsequential space" of psychotherapy. Here, everything can be thought and expressed as it is experienced.
No medication is prescribed during psychotherapy. Psychotropic drugs may not be prescribed by psychotherapists, but can only be prescribed by a doctor. However, for many mental illnesses - depending on their severity and course - psychotropic drugs are sometimes a necessary and useful addition to treatment. For this reason, it has always been important to us at JUVENIS that psychotherapists and specialists in psychiatry and psychotherapeutic medicine can cooperate with us and work closely together if this is desired by the patient. Many mental illnesses show the best evidence of recovery in a combination of both methods, especially at the beginning of treatment.
The aim of psychotherapeutic treatment is to alleviate existing suffering, learn to understand oneself better and thus become more autonomous in order to cope better with difficult situations in life. Both acute and chronic mental problems or illnesses can be treated well with psychotherapy, as psychotherapy leads to a stable and deeper development of the entire personality.
However, psychotherapy is only effective if you are actually prepared to engage with yourself and are not afraid to confront your own feelings and emotions - which can sometimes be unpleasant. Psychotherapy helps you to get to know and understand yourself better and to develop personally ("self-awareness"), regardless of any existing mental illness.
What is person-centered psychotherapy according to Carl R. Rogers at MedR. Dr. Jutta Leth?
The most important effective factor in this form of psychotherapy is the relationship between client and therapist. This may sound unspectacular, but it presupposes a type of relationship that is very special and cannot usually be experienced in this way in everyday life.
The therapeutic process is comparable to a shared journey of getting to know and understand oneself better in order to accept all sides of oneself. The task of the psychotherapist is to accompany the client; the client is and remains the expert on his or her own life.
The special nature of the therapeutic relationship, which is characterized by empathy, unconditional positive regard and congruence, enables personal development and unfolding. These basic therapeutic attitudes also include empathic understanding, active listening, openness, authenticity and acceptance. The quality of the joint working alliance and the therapeutic relationship make a decisive contribution to the success of the treatment.

...what does attractiveness mean to you?
For me, attractiveness means a balance between body and soul at any age, as well as beauty, which is not only associated with youth and flawlessness. Authenticity, humor and a proactive, self-confident approach to life's challenges and problems also make a person attractive in my eyes.
