The Psoriasis(also known as psoriasis) is an inflammatory skin disease where the body's own tissue is attacked by the immune system. Now a clinical study with dermatologist Univ. Prof. Dr. Tamara Kopp has shown that the unpleasant symptoms of psoriasis can be significantly reduced with the help of an anti-interleukin-23 antibody.

Antibody against psoriasis (psoriasis)

As science.orf.at reported, dermatologist Univ. Prof. Dr. Tamara Kopp from the JUVENIS Beauty Center in Vienna and her team examined whether the administration of an antibody against psoriasis helps.

In a study, they injected a total of 77 patients (with moderate to severe symptoms) with varying amounts of the antibody “Tildrakizumab” or a placebo. The skin of the patients who were treated with high doses was up to 100 percent free of psoriasis symptoms.

Meanwhile, the researchers have completed a phase II of the study and are now in a clinical phase III study, which is the final stage before possible approval.
